Five Stars for Necessary but Clever Compromises
By Daniel on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2019
Getting so many appliances into one REQUIRES some compromise, which raises the price and affects performance. With that said, this is a VERY solid and smart option if you want to save space. If you want the world's best microwave, or air fryer, or small oven, you'll need to buy them one at a time. If you want the best available combination of all those, this is probably it. Who would want it: You use the microwave more than you'd like because you don't want to heat a large oven, and your toaster oven is disappointing. You find yourself settling for soggy food you have microwaved OR waiting around for a full-sized oven to heat up to cook a small amount of food. This will make your life much easier, and your food will taste better. Who might NOT want it: If you really only need a microwave, you could get a better microwave than this for the money. It works extremely well as a microwave and as an oven, but if you don't need both, you might end up disappointed. The Alexa integration is helpful and doesn't get in the way. I was worried that the integration with voice activation would make this oven more challenging to use if I didn't want to talk to it. Not an issue at all. You can direct it to do anything easily with your voice OR with the keypad. If you judge only the keypad, it's better than most microwaves. Alexa wasn't used as a crutch, there. She's a great addition to an already great oven and not a gimmick to make it seem better than it is. Air Frying: I don't have any experience with air fryers, but based on how they work, this probably isn't a very good one. There are some critical reviews regarding the air frying, and I would say that might be due to overly high expectations, but "air fryer" is in the title. I'm not changing my rating based on that because I don't know, but if you are looking for an air fryer, you'd want to read some reviews first. Overall, I'm delighted with this. No gimmicks and it functions better than I expected. If you want both an oven and a microwave, and your expectations are reasonable, it's a good buy.

Wasted money. Updated 1/18/2020
By Ryan on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2019
So far I've faced daily loss of WiFi. The device will show it's connected until you try to use it then the WiFi symbol starts blinking and I have to turn the WiFi off and back on again. For reference I use Cisco PoE switches and dedicated enterprise access points so I feel fairly confident that it's not my network. It doesn't cook evenly, which in a 1.5 cubic foot space is impressively bad. As others have stated preheat times are ridiculous. It feels underpowered for the reported power levels. I attempted to factory reset the unit and was met with the error message "Failed." I've been in touch with Amazon support and they plan to send me a new one...in a month. I can't believe they seriously have no stock for warranties or the product is so bad that they've burned through their buffer and safety supply. Either way I'm not impressed. Short version: Jack of all trades, adequate at none. Save your money and buy a good convection toaster oven and a cheap microwave. I'll revise my review after I've received the replacement. Update ***1/18/2020*** The replacement unit still falls short of being useful. It disappoints in New and amazing ways each time I try to use it. I'd remove the 1 star rating if I could in favor of no stars. The oven is grotesquely underpowered. It took well over 15 minutes to preheat to 425F. Something my toaster oven which is close to the same volume can accomplish in 5. The microwave still feels underpowered and always requires the high end of suggested cook times, often plus a little extra. The air fryer is completely useless and fails to come anywhere close to suggested cook times. The echo integration is a joke. Alexa doesn't understand even the most basic of commands assuming the unit hasn't lost connection with the WiFi again. It's a complete waste of time to even try voice commands because I know I'll end up having to turn the WiFi off on the oven and back on for it to reconnect. I have to press fewer buttons to just select what I want. Of course every other echo device I own including the dot it came with in the same room never lose their connection. The final straw that lead to this update was a complete failure to cook a frozen pizza. 13 minutes at "425F" resulted in a largely still frozen pizza that I had to end up finishing in my toaster oven. There is no chance I would recommend this product to anyone. I can't believe I paid $250 for this. Never again will I preorder an Amazon product. I consider myself burned unlike anything I've put in this hunk of junk.
