Cools my 900sf bedroom.
By Bill C on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2020
My bedroom is an addition and doesn’t have AC. It was 82 when it was installed and it took 2 hours to get it down to 68. The noise is acceptable compared to sleeping or not sleeping drenched in sweat or sneaking into you’re daughters bedroom when she is away on a sleepover. Now. The pain is gone. The unit needs to be within 2’ of the window to use the existing tubing and attachments. The tubing is heavy and can’t support itself if it has too much bend to it so I had to raise it off the ground. If your thinking of using some pvc or something to extend the distance, this is a 5” tube, with a OEM port adapter and nothing short of a pvc male adapter and a bottle of epoxy will make this fly. My gf suggested I use HVAC tape. I just stared at her. Like all of these portable units, the pieces that are used to connect it all up aren’t perfect. I bought a piece of plexiglass for $30, traced the outline of the exhaust port and then used a hole saw and dremel to make a new window, and then shot 1/2” strips to make it rigid. If I did it again, I’d move the hole to a 3x3” location to bottom left instead of the 6x6” location.

Will it work in both summer and winter
By Al Morrison on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020
I like the unit, however, it tripped the Circuit Breaker , I therefore have not been able to establish the units usefulness and it summer the "Air Conditioning seems to be working well" How will it work in winter when it is called upon too produce heat? I'm concerned that the warranty states thirty (30) days as will not be winter until November that warranty doesn't give me time to find out whether or not the heat works as advertised or it's a good unit. The unit did not have a clear operational booklet. I going to reach out to Amazon for Clarity. I'd like to add that upon attempting to return the De'Longhi Pinguino PACEL290HLWKC-1A to VM Express / neither Amazon nor VM Express told what carrier it used after repeated email and a call to VM Express that Fedex was Identified as the carrier., to my surprised VM Express charged me $70.00 for a return fee, That sucks I going to reach out to Amazon to try an recoup the return fee. Normally Amazon is there for me as Prime Member Amazon has always been upstanding and fair. Fyi whomever is reading the review I went out an bought this unit from Costco for $549.99 with 3 years of warranty an instructions on how to operate the unit. The unit is a good one I would recommend it with a full warranty and instructions. As for The circuit breaker the unit needed its own circuit as I had two units on the same circuit thus causing it to Tripp. Again they're good units.
