[Digital Code] Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

If you're like me, you don't follow anything xbox, and you just respond when your son needs the help. Today, I learned that "Xbox Live Gold" has become "Xbox Game Pass Core" for $10/mo and the step up that provides 100+ games with the $17/mo price tag. The games are NOT free as touted in many descriptions; you're either paying $10 or $17 a month for them AND for online access to play games with others. Anyhow, the name change explained why when I looked for "Xbox Live Gold digital download codes" some places had them out of stock. The biggest drawback of the new system that I can see is that Game Pass Ultimate doesn't seem to come in a 12-month package. I could find only 3-month cards, and I don't relish the thought of going through this four times a year. Yes, it is possible to but a credit card number on file and have it automatically recharge, but the rules around our house are that no CC goes on file and that everything is paid for with digital codes or gift cards.
