Simple, Effective, and Worth the Price!
By CSG on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2025
I’ve always struggled to get enough protein in my diet, so I recently started using protein shakes. Being new to this, I knew I needed a shaker bottle—but I definitely didn’t want the hassle of cleaning a blender, whisk, or keeping track of a metal mixing ball. To my surprise, shopping for the Helimix shaker bottle was one of the quickest purchases I’ve ever made on Amazon. I usually get stuck in analysis paralysis, but the overwhelmingly positive reviews gave me confidence—and I’m so glad they did. This bottle is absolutely worth the price. Admittedly, I’ve only used it twice so far, but it lives up to the hype. It’s leakproof, incredibly easy to clean, and mixes powder and even peanut butter without leaving any lumps. I can’t speak to how well it keeps drinks cold, as that’s not a feature I use, but for mixing and convenience, it’s excellent. Highly recommend if you want a no-fuss, reliable shaker bottle!

Doesn't Mix Some Things Remain Clumpy
By Sai on Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2025
Casein protein and MCT powders remain clumpy no matter what you do. Tbh, unless I mix the casein and then strain it several times after, I can't get it to not clump no matter what shaker I use. I was hoping this one's physics would help, at least but it turns out that even with two extra shaker balls (one wire, one star-like plastic), it doesn't do anything for it. I did figure this would happen after I found out that it can't even mix MCT powder properly, though. While I definitely won't be using it for those, I'll likely still use it for everything else just because I saw a mention that shaker balls would eventually make microchips at the sides, and microplastics have major negative health impacts that I'm trying to cut down on, like inflammation, and reduce my risks for such things as dementia and Alzheimer's which has recently been discovered to have a major impact. Also, to note for the women out there, plastics can make periods a lot more painful, too. A bit off-topic, but I've seen testimonials of women who got rid of all plastics out of their daily routines and stopped having painful periods. Plastic just sucks. About the powder sticking to the lid, yes, it happens, and though I understand that it shouldn't, the solution is really simple: just put the powders in the center of the liquid, so pour half your liquid, then put in your powders, then pour in the rest of the liquid to cover, and/or use a spoon to pre-dunk it. Alternately, you could use plastic wrap or a snack bag or something to snap the mouth closure over. Speaking of the snap closure, it's got the most solid "SNAP" sound of any shaker bottle I've ever had; that thing is most definitely secure. That being said, due to several encounters with the user error of forgetting to secure the snap lid, I got into the habit of using my index finger to drape over it while I shake the bottle; this has become such an ingrained habit that it takes considerable effort to not do it, though I did just to test how well it held up. The cap itself, however, is unfortunately another story; if you shake it really hard, as I did while trying to get my casein to mix, it definitely goes everywhere. Additionally, when you finish your shake and put water in there to shake it around and drink the rest, due to the lower viscosity, that leaks everywhere, too. And I have a bad habit of over-zealously tightening everything so the fact that it still leaked presents a considerable problem. I wouldn't bring it into your vehicle, for sure. The helix shape looks kind of cool though it's awkward to wash, but the cap is thick so the orange, especially, reminds me of a hardhat. Edit: the lid is a _problem;_ the first time I used it it shook fine, no leaks, the second time it leaked, the third time I was too lazy to find the lid and used a different lid, seemed to fit surprisingly well because despite being able to see the bottom edge of the threads on the bottle there were no leaks, fourth time I decided to use that same lid and it leaked absolutely everywhere, switched back, no leak. Then today I put baking soda and water in it because it somehow already accumulated a smell and no leak, again. So, what? You have to find the Goldilocks point? If it at least had something repeatable you could do to ensure it was on right that'd be one thing but I've tried to figure it out by taking the lid on and off several times with the water in it and can't figure it out so as it is I'm returning it and I'll try shakers with the agitator on the lid, instead.
