Nice design, easy to use.

I say nice design, realizing that the design of oximeters is pretty much universal. The all white outside with the green leds makes for a clean look and it's easy to read the results. I think that the spring on this unit seems slightly stiffer than others I've owned. I was going to take a star off, due to the units inability to pick up an accurate pulse if the user is actively in A-fib, or some other arrhythmia.

Readings almost useless

Even under the best of conditions, the OX reading jumps around within a 5% range. That's okay to tell if you have serious problems, but not even okay just to track a daily trend. Best you can say, if you are healthy and know it, then it probably shows that. BPM, surprisingly, is a joke. I would have expected that to be a trivial measurement - but it reads almost any value you want it to. With a measured pulse of right at 60 (finger and stop watch method), it reads anywhere from upper 40's to low hundreds. You can keep repositioning your finger to get different readings, but none are stable - and you have no other idea which is correct, if any. Sorry, but this one is a PASS.
