WUSTHOF Classic IKON 8" Chef's Knife

I was really hoping this would wow me. Its very expensive, the middle upper of the knife line from Wusthof. Nope its just ok. First off it is sharp. So what, I sharpen all the knives I have and they are sharp, even the $20 ones. All knives will have to be sharpened again, giving the knife credit for being sharp, why? Looking at the knife you can clearly see the sharpened edge grinds are not equal on both sides of the knife. The handle plastic color is faded not the sharp black color in the photos. The metal does make a tink sound when tapping it instead of the cheap stamped metal clunk. I have 20 year old knives that were a 1/3 of this cost that have a nicer metal sound. The plastic handle does not fit the metal where it should match. The metal sticks out around the handle in several places, as do the rivets. For this price of a knife I was expecting really perfect everything. I am glad I didn't pay full price for it but I don't recommend it.
