Great kettle - easily goes onto its base, heats fast, looks nice
By The Passenger on Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2024
One of the reviews I read mentioned that it was difficult to put the kettle on it's base - that has not been not my experience. This kettle works exactly as other similar ones, you just set it over the base and it goes right on easily and with zero problems. One thing that is not too important (for me at least) but FYI - it is not an infinite selection of temperatures. The rotating dial might lead you to think this... The options are (in F°): 104°, 113°, 122°, 131°, 140°, 149°, 158°, 167°, 176°, 185°, 194°, 203°, 212° (using the dial) or 195°, 200°, and 205° using the preset temp button. In practice, here is how I use it: Press power on and the set temperature is always at the default 212°. Press the preset button and then turn the knob to select between 195°, 200°, or 205°. After you have selected one of these three preset temperatures, that is the default preset the next time and every time thereafter that you push this button unless you change it. So, after you have picked your preset temperature, you can just hit power on, hit preset once, then power again to start the kettle and away you go. Cool having the base show both the current temp and the set temp displayed at the same time so you can see status at a glance. There is also a little completion bar along the bottom that grows as it gets closer to full temp. Copper color / buttons are a bit bright/shiny but that is pure personal preference. The lid is plastic (the rest of the kettle is metal except for the handle for insulation) but it looks the same as the kettle and doesn't touch the water other than some condensation so having a plastic lid is definitely not an issue for me. Highly recommend if you are looking for a gooseneck kettle. This pairs perfectly with the insulated stainless steel Mueller French Press Coffee Maker 34oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JGBK6XV which is also a great product.

Usage after 9 months, matte layer peeling
By Anonymous on Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2025
Rapid heating—thanks to the 1200 W power, it boils a full liter with good enough speed. Gooseneck spout gives a steady, controlled pour with minimal splatter, Handy temperature presets and keep-warm capability. Issues that held it back: Matte finish peeling off: After just a few uses, the outer layer has started flaking near the spout area. It looks shabby now and worries me about potential rust or metal exposure underneath. Plus my daily intake of black paint bothers me. Feeling unsafe: When the peel exposes the underlying stainless steel, it makes me question if any coating could end up in my boiling water. That’s a concern I didn’t expect from a brand-new appliance. The top flap isn’t as tight as I’d like—it sometimes shifts when pouring, adding to the sense that it’s not built to last. And despite its design, it got warmer than expected on the outside. If your priority is quick, temperature-controlled kettles with a nice pour for tea or coffee, it does deliver—but for me, the peeling finish and safety concerns are red flags. For a few dollars more, I’d consider options with more durable exterior coatings or no coating.
