Best coffee maker I have owned
By Captain Lou on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2025
I waited before reviewing. In fact, I waited 2 years. This coffee maker is one of my best purchases in the last few years. I drink a lot of coffee. At least a pot every day. I’ve owned a lot of coffee pots. Typically, I go with the low frills ones as there is less to break. Frankly, I don’t use any of the extra features. In this case, the ability to quickly swap out between brewing a full pot and just doing a single k-cup is awesome. I usually brew a full pot in the morning. This one knocks out a pot in about 5 minutes. Not as fast as my Bunn but I’m perfectly fine with the extra minute. In the past, if I wanted a single cup in the afternoon, I ended up brewing a whole pot and wasting most of it. Now, I can just slap in the k-cup holder and get my single cup. This ultimately saves a lot of time and money. Takes about 3 seconds to change. It brews a solid cup of coffee. I’m not overly snobby about my coffee so I can’t compare to some ridiculously expensive brewer but the coffee comes out hot and flavorful. I also like the self-cleaning feature. I put in a little cleaner, add water and hit the button. It cleans for 72 minutes. I run a few full pots of just water through it. The brewer has not failed me yet. Hasn’t even really slowed down which is crazy because I have hard water and it tends to ruin coffee makers. Not this one. Finally, the ability to easily pull off the water tank and walk it over to the sink is a must-have. This one is effortless. The only knock I have is that the shut-off lever to grab a cup mid-brewing is hit or miss. I’ve adjusted and just wait for it to finish. There is no doubt in my mind that I will buy it again when this one fails. In fact, I’m tempted to buy another one already just in case they decide to stop manufacturing it because I suspect the one I have is going to last several more years.

Won't Last A Year
By frazan on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2024
While looking for the perfect dual coffee maker that included a single serve within the unit, I thought I found the perfect unit in the Ninja CFP201. When I first used this product, I was very satisfied with its performance and quality of coffee, however, after less than a year (about 9 months of once a day use) this product has failed miserably. One thing that has happened is the need to "clean unit". We use this coffee maker once a day and use the single serve less than 10 times since we got it all with filtered water. I have had to go through the 75 minute+ clean cycle about once a month. Not only is this very time consuming but the coffee making cycle stops when it decides it needs cleaning leaving an inch of coffee in the pot and brewing completely stops leaving unused grounds in the filter and a stopped brewing cycle. Now another problem has arisen, the single serve adapter (which I seldom use possible once a month) has failed. Coffee comes out of the unit in a "shower" . I've cleaned the unit and it still does not work. A note here, I thoroughly clean the Ninja after every use. Called Customer Service and started a laborious process of an attempt to "correct" what is wrong with my CFP201 via online videos etc. I thought maybe I could at least get an adapter replacement under warranty but that was not to be and I stopped the long process of claiming product failure half way through the process and called it as a loss rather than proceed. Very disappointed with Customer Service. In order to have coffee while waiting to buy a new one, I will go through the clean cycle once again today, never use the single serve adapter again, research another product and purchase a new coffee maker - not a Ninja. A loss of money and time. Very disappointed to say the least.
