Elchim 8th Sense RUN: Professional Ultralight Hair Dryer Lily Rose

This review is for the Elchim 8th Sense RUN hair dryer. This has a brushless motor which is great, more on that later. It has 2 concentrations/power levels you can pick as well as 3 different heat settings which they say are 6 based on the 2 power levels. The buttons. Oh my. I have never seen controls like this on another hair dryer in my life. The top button is for the heat levels and it is not easy to know if you have clicked it to the right setting. It feels cheap when using it too and is not as crisp as I would like for this price point. I really dislike the way these were designed and the way they operate. Quality of materials and workmanship. I am on the fence here. The whole hair dryer feels maybe middle of the road to me at best. When it is on you can feel air blowing out of the button area... It isn't really bad quality or anything like that but the quality just seems like it isn't where it should be. Some of the stickers on it are very crooked which just shows a lack of quality control and that is not acceptable for this product in my eyes. Everything is made of plastic on it and it feels thin and light on many of the parts. How well it dries hair. It does do an alright job at this. It gets hot extremely fast, almost instantly. You can start blow drying quickly and the body of it does not get hot during use. The tip however does so watch out for that. The tip gets hot enough to burn you within less than a minute of being on. This is the case with many products like this but just something to be aware of as you need to be careful when setting it down as well. This hair dryer has a pretty good warranty it seems like. It says within the first year they will repair it for you but you must send it in with proof of purchase plus $15 to pay for shipping back to you. After a year it says they will still repair this for you forever if you send it to the address on the warranty card with $25. This sounds okay however it does state once they do repair it then the repaired components only have a 90 day warranty. Overall it isn't a bad unit. I just think that maybe it is lacking in some areas for the cost of it.
