Update after 2+ years of daily use
By anonymous on Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2021
The knives are made in Solingen, but the scissors are made in China. Also, please note that these knives for sure are not forged knives (as another review accurately noted) - they are much thinner, and very light compared to the original forged Wusthof knife set. That being said, they seem to be excellent paring knives, and well worth the cost - but only because got the set for $25 on Black Friday. Update after 2+ years: I use these knives daily. The red emblem has long weared off, but the knives are still sharp. They are the perfect size for everyday tasks, have nice ergonomic handles and seem not to dull regardless how carelessly I use them. I cannot praise these knives quality enough, and I got an incredible deal on them. I don't think I'll buy another brand of knives again, and they are definitely worth the cost. The scissors have held great as well, although they do develop rust spots from time to time and require extra cleaning. I love that they come apart, they are very well designed, and still sharp after 2 years. Awesome job, WÜSTHOF!

Disappointed

Not as high caliber quality as my original set from 25 years ago. My original pairing knives had walking feet from a dinner party so wanted to replace. The kitchen shears had taken abuse over the years so figured boon with shears being included. Pairing knives are light and thin and the steel feels like it will bend easily. The edges are sharp and cut paper but...not much steel to go a 1/4 century for sharpening...i opted for the sale price line...should have waited and perhaps gotten the higher priced versions
