Wonderful Occlusive, very versatile product.

Love this item, does everything it's supposed to. This is a stick made of 30% petrolatum, which is an occlusive (it helps the skin seal in moisture). I usually use this as part of a two-part lotion routine where I use first use a urea-based product (humectant and emollient to attract and retain moisture, as well as to soften and smooth the skin), and then use this product to keep everything sealed in. This has done wonders for my skin - it has been more effective than using either product alone. I feel like my skin is plumper and more glowy. I don't use hyaluronic acid products, but the use of two moisturizers make it look like I've just used an HLA product (and its safer too). Lately, I've been using the stick as a lip balm . . . I've seen other reviews that decry the product as being too expensive for the amount that is given, however, using this product as a lip balm actually makes me view this item as being a huge value. I used to purchase a lip balm specifically made for the lips, and paid $18. With daily use, the balm only lasted about a month. While the stick is quite large to use for the lips - I'm able to use it several times daily, and it will last months at a time. If one were looking to cover the entirety of their body with this stick, I can see how someone would consider the amount of this product wanting. When using as a lotion, I only use this as a sealant after using another product for moisturizing, and in doing so, have been able to make it last. When using this as a lip balm, I have to purchase a new one every two and a half months. When using as an all-over lotion, I purchase a new one every three to three-and-a-half months.

Poor Rating for Overall Health
By Syn3rgy on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2025
While this product does work great as a “blur stick” under foundation, im more concerned with the long term effects that ingredients can have on our skin. This product scan shows 2 Moderate Risk Petroleum Based Ingredients. Meanwhile, here’s my review and replacement suggestion which is Aquafor Lip Repair Stick – I first started using Aquaphor Healing Balm as an under eye blur stick as advertised on Instagram. After learning about and using the Yuka App (a scanner that shows all ingredients in foods and cosmetics and rates them and highlights high risk additives and chemicals), I discovered the blur stick has ingredients that are bad for skin health. HOWEVER, their Lip Repair Stick rates 100 out of 100 Excellent and Pure. I now use that to hydrate under and around my eyes and on my lips.
