10/10 Numbing Cream!
By Karissa on Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2025
Just used this cream today for half of my back tattoo and could not a feel things for the 2 hour session! I put it on an hour and a half before the appointment and put saran wrap on. Would definitely recommend this and their spray! I’ve used the spray a few times, I’ve noticed it worked more when used after the line work and into shading you won’t a feel a thing! 10/10!! I didn’t use numbing cream for the first half of my back and it was one of my most painful tattoos! Attached a picture of the tattoo for reference of just how big this boy is 😀

FYI PSA BTW: CHECK WITH YOUR TATTOO ARTIST IF USING THIS IS OK!!!!! Using topical lidocaine for tattoo purposes changes the texture of your skin, (will make it rubbery) + expand your capillaries (cause more bleeding) making it a difficult canvas for your artist to work with, additionally, it affects how your skin absorbs ink, potentially overworking the area trying to saturate it and eventually turning your skin into hamburger meat. If you try to hide it, your artist will know, LOL so the joke will be on you, and they may not be able to move forward with it (reschedule). I have many tattoos, but my inner forearm has been spicy and turned into more sessions than I thought so I bought this for session 2 just to knock it out but before the session I started thinking negatively and realistically 'what if this is counterproductive' so I told my artist and she let me know that THIS PRODUCT (any lidocaine not specifically for tattoos) could work against me/her but she won't know until she begins tattooing. Anyways, I was fortunate we didn't have to cancel, but I will say I felt everything. The numbing agent works but it did not conceal the pain for me, but I think maybe made it worse, I'm not sure, and during the healing process, there are couple areas where the ink is not saturated (didn't hold well; lighter and darker areas) + a few areas that were more worked/healing more difficultly (some scabbing). IG: @bonnietattoos (Houston, TX) did recommend QWP 6-8Hours Painless Tattoo for next time if I wanted to explore a numbing agent again. How i applied for my 3:30 PM appointment: at 9:30 am i lathered a generous layer over the area, wrapped with saran wrap until 1PM and the area was numb. Maybe it wore off by the time I sat down but It didn't work for me. The bottle is small but plenty, I think.
