Doesn’t detangle well
By Mia on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2025
Here’s an improved version of your review: I really wanted to love this product because the shampoo feels fantastic while washing—it’s rich, lathers beautifully, and smells amazing. Unfortunately, the conditioner fell short of my expectations. I have thin, healthy, and slightly oily hair, so I look for products that are gentle and won’t cause buildup. While the shampoo initially felt promising, my hair felt like straw once rinsed out. I hoped the conditioner would counteract this and leave my hair smooth and manageable, but it didn’t deliver. In the shower, my hair became difficult to detangle, and even after rinsing, I had to rely on a heavier leave-in conditioner to work through the tangles. This is not an issue I experience with the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner, which leaves my hair tangle-free both during and after washing, without any residue. I decided to try the Bumble and Bumble Seaweed shampoo and conditioner as a change after using Paul Mitchell for over a year (since it’s often recommended to switch shampoos periodically). Sadly, the results were disappointing. On the other hand, Bumble and Bumble’s Invisible Oil Shampoo and Conditioner is excellent—what I call “shampoo and butter” because the conditioner is so rich and detangles beautifully. However, that set is too heavy for thin, oily-prone hair like mine. Overall, I’d rate the Seaweed set 1 star. While the shampoo starts off strong, the overall experience and results didn’t work for me. I wish it performed better!
