Time will tell

So, like many of you I got this to help with collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. I did do a lot of research on the benefits of collagen to see if it had potential before buying and found a meta analysis published by the NIH that states "The evidence from the reviewed studies suggested that collagen supplements improve skin moisture, elasticity, and hydration when orally administered. Additionally, collagen reduces the wrinkling and roughness of the skin, and existing studies have not found any side effects of its oral supplements." To me this indicated there there are benefits to be had and that it is very safe. However, the study also said it took 6-8 weeks to see improvements in skin tone and texture. I have only been using his for about a week so I will have update my review in a month or so. What I can tell you is that it is really easy to use. It has no taste whatsoever and does dissolve completely. In cold water, I have found this can take up to 10 minutes but it is instantaneous in warm water. I don't see this as an an issue because I add it to my water bottle the night before and pack it in my bag for work. By morning, you would never know that there was anything added. Like I said, it is completely tasteless. The directions say two scoops per day, once a day, so I only have to think about it once, which is nice as well. I'm excited to see to see changes in my skin and will update this review when I do!

I would do more research before purchasing this

I just received my second bag of VEV collagen and peptides. If my first bag was like this one, I would not have reordered. And actually I only reordered because it had a significant discount. This will be my last bag. The first bag dissolved easily in my morning coffee. This second bag is clumpy and no matter what I do it will not completely dissolve. I'm not sure if I will be able to finish this bag as eating clumps of this while drinking your morning coffee is annoying. There is a slight taste, but it's not bad and I add a flavored protein shake to my coffee as creamer, so it's not the taste, it's the clumps. I only got 39 servings out of my first bag, not the 41 servings that it's supposed to be. Small difference in size and servings, but little differences add up after awhile. The handle on the scoop in my first bag was only about an inch long, so it was hard to grab. I didn't realize until I got my second bag with a longer handle, that the handle on my first one was broken off and was supposed to be longer. Not sure where the rest of the handle went, as it wasn't in the bag. In the second bag, the scoop had a hole in the middle, so when you scoop it, it's steadily falling out. I just use the scoop from my first bag. I would think that after taking this for over a month, my nails would be healthier and stronger. They still split and tear easily. I already have good skin, thanks to skincare products I use, so this didn't make any difference in my skin. Overall, I would not recommend this and I would purchase another brand. I question it's effectiveness.
