I should start by saying that I’m not someone who uses energy shots regularly. From what I have heard about some of the popular energy shots, taste is a major detractor. Suffice it to say that these energy shots don’t change that in the slightest. A number of reviewers have already provided very detailed information on ingredients. instead, I will focus on my experience with the product. First of all this stuff is hard to swallow, literally! Much like mini cough medicines the labels of strawberry and blue raspberry are just labels, and not an indicator of the flavor that you will experience. If you’ve ever had cherry cough syrup as a kid then you have an idea of what you’re gonna expect when you try one of these. I recommend taking the shot in one gulp just to get it down. The aftertaste will definitely wake you up. If nothing else that is one way in which these energy shots definitely work to keep you alert. I spent the next 15 to 20 minutes, looking for ways to get the aftertaste out of my mouth. as far as the energy level after drinking one of these. Un scientifically, I can say that I do feel more energetic, and that it did alleviate some of the drowsiness I was feeling in the morning. But that also could be attributed to the horrible taste which was similar to a slap in the face. The duration of my alertness seems to be sustained for a significant amount of time. But what I want to drink these again? I’m honestly, I probably rather just take a nap and then wake up from that and hopefully feel refreshed. For someone else looking to get a bit of energy boost to finish a project or to focus, a test this may come in handy. At $28 for a pack of 8 shots, it is a hard sell for me.
