The Thanksgiving Fantasy League: Final Four Results

by Kathleen Richards

The Final Four is over and the results are in!

It turned out that choosing between our most favorite Thanksgiving foods proved to be just as difficult as we thought it would. It was a dead heat between White Meat Turkey and Green Bean Casserole for the entire day but Green Bean Casserole edged it out at the end with just 12 votes. I'm honestly not too surprised since White Meat Turkey without any tasty gravy to smother it isn't really the most enticing part of a Thanksgiving meal, I'm still a little sad that we're left with no meats.

Over on the other side of the bracket, the race was a little less heated. Is it any surprise that Stuffing was able to beat out Pumpkin Pie? It's got all the fatty, meaty flavor of turkey with the enticing texture of soft, soggy bread. Mmmmmm...delicious.

If most of your team members have already been knocked out, don't be discouraged. If you've got the right combination of just one contender in the final matchup and some strong showings in the matches of your earlier-eliminated teammates you might still have a fighting chance. If you chose well enough and ended up with a couple of team members going head to head in this round, then this is basically a bonus round for you where you scooped up a solid 100 points on one (or maybe both) of the matchups.

The winner of each matchup is highlighted in bold. Remember, if one of your team members lost their matchup, you still get points for every percentage point they scored, you just won't earn any more points for that team member since they won't be in the final round. View the updated bracket here.

Meats vs. Vegetables
White Meat Turkey - 49%
Green Bean Casserole - 51%

Sides vs. Dessert
Stuffing -57%
Pumpkin Pie - 43%

To calculate your score, add up the percentage points of all your team members who made it to this round and add that to your calculated total from the last round.

Since the Thanksgiving Fantasy League Championship is kind of a big deal, we're going to leave voting open on the final match for two whole days. If you're still in the running to win, that's enough time to rally all your friends and family members to come vote for your team. Championship voting starts tomorrow and runs through Tuesday! The ultimate winner will be announced on Thanksgiving day!

Post your scores below and see where you stand against everyone else!
