35 Hour Energy

Hello, Duracell Tech Support? Yeah, I’ve got a kind of a weird question…

Well, okay, so I was out pretty late last night, and then I had to open the coffee shop in the morning, and I was feeling really tired, and, you know, I wasn’t just out drinking Gatorade, so things were a little hazy all around. So I was looking for my keys when I found this box, and it was all “up to 35 hours of backup,” and I was like, “Oh man, I could use a 35 hour charge!” Because that way I could get through work, go out again tonight, and still be fine to open tomorrow. And, well… I’m not proud of it, but I, I… um…

Here, I’m just going to say it. No judgement, okay? I ate my Duracell USB Charger w/ AC Adapter.

Hey! I said no judgement! You’re not here to laugh at me, sir! You’re here to help! And trust me, I need some help! I feel terrible!

Uh, no. I have not gone to see a doctor. Did you hear what I just said? I work the early morning shift at a coffee shop. You think I have health insurance? And besides, doctors didn’t get me into this mess. Duracell did. How? Well, I didn’t see anything on the box that indicated that it was not some sort of power-bar, energy-food thing.

Yeah, I know it said that it was AC powered and that it worked with iPhones, iPod Classic, Blackberries, all that stuff. All I’m saying is that there should really be some sort of sticker on it that’s like, “DON’T EAT THIS THING FOR ENERGY!” Because trust me, I am not energized.

So anyway, how much danger am I in here? Like, can I just let it pass or do I really need to see a doctor? I’ve eaten batteries before, if that helps. Well, before this phone call, I mean. I actually ate them right after I ate the USB Charger. Thought it might bolster up my immune system.

Yeah, okay. Maybe I will head over to the emergency room after all…
