Don’t get me wrong, I love robots. I’m just not sure if we need robots for the toilet.

So maybe love was too strong of a word. Let’s just say I’m getting used to robots.

I mean, yes, sometimes I still wake up screaming from that same old recurring nightmare that the plot of The Matrix is playing itself out in real life.

And yes, it’s also true that I’ve been seeing a therapist for years trying to work through my paralyzing fear of Johnny Five.

But I can still appreciate good robot when I see one. I’m cool with Roombas and iPhones and Xbox Ones. The kind of robots that help us out and make our lives more convenient.

But is a toilet robot is definitely something we don’t need. If humans can't even go to the bathroom on their own, then we're really in a sorry state. I mean, what would a toilet robot even do?

Huh. You know what? Forget everything I said earlier. A toilet robot actually sounds like exactly what we need.
