Oh, that annoying sound? That’s my flying alarm clock. It flew off the base one morning and got lost somewhere in my room, so I can’t shut it off. Don’t worry, you get used to it after a while.

Yeah, it seemed like something I needed: an alarm clock that shoots a little flying object when it goes off, and you can’t turn it off until you find the flying thing and replace it in the base. No more snooze-button sleep-ins for me. I mean, if I oversleep one more time, Hardee’s is going to find somebody else to scrub out their grease traps.

Of course, I wasn’t counting on the little fly-pod getting lost in the debris littering my floors. I guess I have kind of a lot of empty fast-food wrappers in my bedroom for a guy my age. What can I say? The Hardee’s employee discount is too much for me to resist. Anyway, so the mess swallowed up the alarm flyer thing, and I haven’t seen it since.

Sure, I could clean all this crap up and I’d probably find it. But you know what? I actually like the sound. No, I love the sound. Hey, you got any more of that PCP?
