Brrr. Brrrr. I can’t believe I misread the calendar so completely. I guess I should have known when the park service laughed and said I’d have no problem reserving the picnic area. Well, no matter. I’m sure once I get the clambake started it’ll be nice and toasty. Hey, and twisting the day away will help, won’t it? Soon I’ll be thankful I’m wearing this little bathing suit that offers no protection from the elements whatsoever!
Also I know I sent those invitations. I guess there’s a traffic jam on the bridge or something keeping everybody from showing up.
Well, no matter, I’ve got my Velocity Micro Cruz Android Tablet with 7" Capacitive Touchscreen with me. Thanks to the 802.11n Wi-Fi from that coffee shop on the boardwalk, I can use my Velocity Micro Cruz Android Tablet’s browser to kill time on the Internet! I’ll put on my Jan and Dean MP3s, or that new AAC version of “Smile” that just came out, or maybe even catch a WAV file! Ha ha! That’s the spirit, me! Boy, joking around makes me feel warmer already. Let’s go with some Mungo Jerry and… there! NOW it’s a summer beach blast! Just, you know, three months later than it should be. Brrr. These flip flops don’t stop the wind at all.
BUT Brian Wilson never said die and I won’t either. I’m sure my friends will be pulling up any second now with coolers full of ice cold soda pop and newly waxed surfboards! Maybe I’ll get in the mood by watching some old Frankie Avalon movies on this 4:3 800 x 600 screen. It’s amazing to me how technology has changed over the years! Once I’d have to watch this thing in a dark theater, and now? Here I am with a Velocity Micro Cruz Android Tablet with 7" Capacitive Touchscreen, enjoying a whole library of movies and music while sitting right in the middle of a sunny, snowy, completely empty beach!
Also because it’s Android 2.2, there are plenty of apps. Like this weather app, which says… oh, the largest blizzard ever to hit my state. And it’s coming this way. In an hour.
