Dear Lauren,
I hope this letter finds you well. You don’t know me, but I have studied you for some time. My name is Earl Vanderkirk and I am an engineer for ViewSonic. I was happy to learn that you purchased one of our gTablets. As you may have read in the product’s features, it was “designed with you in mind.” For most people, that only refers to the gTablet’s instinctive, easy-to-use interface. But for you, Lauren, it means something entirely different. You see, Lauren, I did, in fact, design this product with you in my mind. And in view. Constantly.
When the bigwigs came to me and said, “Earl, we need to break into the tablet market,” I told them I’d need a muse. Within days, one of our Inspiration Coordinators gave me a file on you that stated you were “ripe with tablet-like personality traits,” and so I left my hyperbaric chamber and proceeded to watch your every move.
Certainly the coordinator was correct. Your ability to carry on several intimate relationships simultaneously was what led me to make the tablet so great for multitasking. And the varied types of men with whom you engaged in these intimate acts (many of which I watched through binoculars, or hiding in closets) inspired me to design a tablet with such extensive format support, including H.264, WMV, WMA, MP4, DivX and more. It was watching you move quickly between all six (seven? eight?) of them that gave me the idea that the gTablet should be sleek, light, and easy for traveling. The Wi-Fi capability obviously corresponds to your free-spirited nature and desire not to be tied down (except for that one time).
Personally, I find the gTablet’s performance to be as awesome as your tearful karaoke performance of Supertramp’s “Goodbye Stranger,” and its 1080p playback resolution is, in my opinion, nearly as stunning as your own intoxicated resolution to finally enroll in that ceramics class (the gTablet might be a bit better at sticking to its resolution, but hey, no one’s perfect).
Normally, I don’t send letters like this to my muses, but I’m quite proud of the gTablet, so I wanted you to know your part in its creation. Please, Lauren, take pride in your contributions to ViewSonic technology each and every time you look at the gTablet’s 10.1” screen, the size of which represents the closest I ever came to you during my research.
