When John Henry was a little boy in his room, he picked up a Dyson All Floors Ball Vacuum.

It was a hot day at the cleaning service as they rolled in the Robo-Cleaner. All the men stared, some of them spat. Today was the day they started to lose their jobs.

Only John Henry still had a smile on his face. He stood beside his Dyson DC25 All Floors Ball Vacuum unrolling extension cord. “You’d best stay back,” he called out to his friends. “When that thing blows it’ll leave shrapnel. And who’s gonna clean that up?” There was a little laughter, but it was joyless. All the men were worried.

The captain walked over to John Henry. “Are you sure you want to do this, John? I’ve negotiated a good retirement package for you, all you have to do is lay down your Dyson DC25 All Floors Ball Vacuum and walk away.”

John Henry shook his head no.

“John,” the captain tried again. “I’m not questioning your ability. I’m not saying that the Root Cyclone Technology in that Dyson DC25 All Floors Ball Vacuum is bad. I’m not even saying that there’s a man alive faster than you at dumping out the Easy Empty Bin. But that Robo-Cleaner, John, it’s made to go as long as it can. And I don’t think there’s a man alive who can keep up with it. Not even you and your Dyson, with all those brush and crevice tools stored on board.”

John Henry looked into his captain’s eye. “Which should I choose, Captain? The Blue? Or the Yellow?”

The captain shook his head sadly. “The Blue, John. You might be the stupidest so-and-so what ever lived, taking on the Robo-Cleaner like this. But you sure ain’t Yellow.”
