There was a time when a computer like this HP Desktop System with 750GB Hard Drive, AMD Athlon II 3.0 GHz Quad-Core Processor, and 4GB PC3-10600 System Memory would’ve been cheered as a technological marvel. Well, okay, maybe it was never a MARVEL, but it was a decent computer. Then someone decided everything had to be a laptop, but the desktop PC stood strong because you still couldn’t get the processing power you needed for “heavy lifting” computational stuff out of a laptop.
Then everything went into various clouds.
