It’s just not textbook, that’s all I’m saying. Normally, there’s a teenage girl who’s being oppressed by her step-mother, but she’s got a heart full of dreams and hope and is kinda a knockout underneath all the rags and grime and such. I come in, sing a song, wave the wand a bit, and presto-change-o, she’s off to meet her prince in a great big pumpkin. You’re, um… well, to put it frankly, you’re a robotic vacuum, and I’m not sure the union allows for granting the wishes of household technology.

Now now now, hold on a minute. Don’t go getting your counter-rotating brushes in a twist. Maybe we can work something out. The way I see it, you seem to be doing most of the housework, what with the vacuuming of dirt, debris, pet hair, dust, and allergens from the carpet and hardwood floor into your large bag-less bin. Seems like you do a fair amount of Spot Cleaning, too. That counts as oppression in my book. And you go back to your self-charging Home Base® which is kind of like being locked away. Kinda. Not to mention you’ve got a wish in your, um, whatever passes for a heart in all that circuitry.

Okay, you’re in. I can work with this. We just need to give you a more human form, a pretty dress, and something to use as a carriage. Let’s see. What about those Virtual Wall things? They might block off-limits areas and other rooms with an invisible infrared signal now, sure, but after a magical chorus or two, those things will be a nice set of wheels for getting you to the…
