The Kidde Kitchen Smoke Detector & Carbon Monoxide Detector Combo with Long-Life Lithium Battery, Pack of 2, model P3010K-CO, features a photoelectric smoke detector and electrochemical carbon monoxide (CO)-sensing technology. Both sensors communicate with each other to adjust their sensitivity and reduce “nuisance” or “false” alarms that can occur from sources like regular cooking. As such, this Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide alarm is perfect for kitchens, but it can be placed anywhere in your home. It operates on a long-life sealed lithium battery to provide reliable detection from smoke and CO, even during power failures. (Experts recommend that you have a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector on every level of your home and inside and outside every sleeping area.)

When a fire is detected, a red LED will flash and be accompanied by 3 long alarm beeps at 85-decibels. For a carbon monoxide event, the alarm will sound four fast beeps, a short pause, then repeat. This smoke and carbon monoxide detector features a Test/Hush button that allows you to check the alarm, ensuring that it's working as expected, and also silences the alarm temporarily. It’s easy to install, the Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide fire alarm activates automatically when attached to the mounting bracket. This smoke detector carbon monoxide detector combo is UL Certified and meets requirements of UL 2034, UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshal, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD.
