If you’re a fan of language or a morning show radio dj, and who isn’t these days, the Palm M105 PDA Multilingual w/ Cradle is for you. Okay, sure, it has 8 megs of memory built in and a greyscale screen,a nd it’s running Palm OS 3.5, we admit that up front. But Palm tells us that it works with Mac and PC (it wants a serial port so make sure you have one it can use) and it takes two AAA batteries so it is easy to power. But the most fun part of it is the multilingual capabilities. We aren’t totally clear on what languages you can play with, but it might be one that has great words like:

• Kummerspeck: a German word which means “grief bacon.”
• Areodjarekput: the Inuit word for “the practice of exchanging wives for a few days.”
• Desuetude: an English word meaning “fallen into disuse”.
