I was somebody once, you know. I was huge. I was Polaroid, the Big P, the King de la Kings of instant pictures. Back when “digital photography” meant snapshots of your fingers, I was serving up instant pics like nobody else. Andre 3000 remembers: “shake it like a Polaroid picture,” the guy said. Time was when the name Polaroid opened the doors of the powerful.
Then it all went bad. Decline. Bankruptcy. In order to keep my bills paid I had to peddle myself like a two dollar...well, you get the point. Yeah, I’m still alive – but everybody talks about me like I’m dead.
