Now I went and done it. Sure, Rosalie had told me a dozen times that if I kept standing on the counter and singing along every time "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" came on the jukebox, she and the rest of the staff at the Happy Spoon would ban me permanently. But I never thought they'd go through with it! I usually got a decent round of applause from the regulars, right? I'm, like, local color! To bar me from my favorite diner is an outrage!

Well, screw them. I've got the Salton Short Order Cook now. I don't need the Happy Spoon for my omelets and my cornbread and my sandwiches any more. I can just cram the ingredients into each of the Salton Short Order Cook's little pockets, batten down the hatch, and five minutes later I'm as golden as grilled cheese. It doesn't care how drunk I am and it doesn't expect a tip. And this is one short order cook who doesn't hold an absurd grudge against Herman's Hermits.
