Just in case you didn’t know, you pronounce it “kyoo-wun.” Like, just say the letter Q and the number 1. For weeks now, I’ve been saying it “chone.” Embarrassing! Why didn’t anyone correct me?
There’ve been dozens of times I talked about it to a bunch of different people, too. Any of them could have set me straight. I raved about how little and portable it is to David at the front desk. I praised its OS (Windows XP Tablet PC Edition) to Pierre in the mens’ room. And oh, man, there was that morning meeting when I went on and on about the how convenient it is that it’s got 802.11b/g Wireless and 10/100 Ethernet capabilities, and how it’ll take CF Type II Flash Memory Cards and has Bluetooth 2.0. There were like ten people in that meeting! How hard would it have been for one of them to say “I think it’s ‘kyoo-wun,’ not ‘chone.’”
But no, they’re all perfectly satisfied to let me keep repeating the same mistake over and over. Does that help them feel superior, or what? Because they aren’t superior. I’m superior.
After all, I’m the one with the Samsung chone, right?
