Dear Mother and Father,
Things are going OK here at Camp Flaming Arrows. To my great surprise, however, the name isn't just a fun play on words or a euphemism as, at any given time, a number or arrows which have been set on fire will whiz past my head.
I suppose this is to be (partly) expected, as I did knowingly sign up for an archery and paddle boarding summer camp. Still, the irony of bringing an inflatable paddle board to such a camp has not been lost on me, nor on my fellow campers, unfortunately, who seem to find my deflated paddle board (and pride, if I'm being honest) a quite humorous sight indeed.
I think it only fair to place blame for this blunder on the unrealistic expectations set by the features of this Tower Paddle Boards Adventurer Bundle which claim to be 2" thicker than the average inflatable stand-up paddle board and made from extremely rugged, military grade materials. As it turns out, no inflatable paddle board, no matter how thick or rugged, can withstand the scorching pierce of a red-hot poker.
Come to think of it, a sternly-worded letter to the manufacturers seems in order. I shall write it, immediately upon completion of this letter, from my place here at the bottom of the lake.
