WAUKEE, IOWA (WPI) – In what is being hailed as a significant step toward domestic peace, the Holcomb household announced a major coffee accord Saturday. Under the new agreement, Chris and Kelly Holcomb will simultaneously brew their preferred coffees each morning on the Ultrex 415994 Travel Mug Coffee Maker.

“Mornings have been a major source of dissension in this house,” said Chris Holcomb, father and husband. “I only drink French Roast, while Kelly prefers Hazelnut Creme. With our old coffee maker, one of us would have to wait while the other’s coffee brewed. I’m confident that this new arrangement will permit both parties to receive the coffee they desire in a timely manner.”

The Ultrex 415994 contains two distinct chambers, each capable of independently brewing coffee. The hot beverage is then dispensed directly into the two no-spill 14-oz. travel mugs, included with the brewer.

“Between showering, dressing ourselves, getting the kids ready for school, talking the dog for a walk, and setting the alarm, many mornings we don’t have time to get two pots of coffee ready and wait through two successive brew cycles,” said wife and mother Kelly Holcomb in a prepared statement. “Naturally, this situation led to hard feelings that occasionally boiled over into open arguments. The Ultrex 415994 Travel Mug Coffee Maker marks an important milestone in the peace process.”

With the coffee issue settled for forseeable future, the Holcombs will turn to resolving the household’s long-standing disputes relating to the toilet seat, the thermostat, and the use of cinnamon in pasta sauce. Preliminary talks are set for this May in Geneva.
