Ear buds? Lame.
Honestly, I find the only drawback to my iPod is that I just can’t pump enough juice through these little ear buds to make sure everyone can hear. Who knows how many people out there might not know about Blackout Radio yet? What young soul is out there searching desperately for someone to show him the latest Supersuckers bootleg tracks? How will the people on the subway know that the AST podcast is the one they, too, should be hearing?
That’s why I use this Philips Portable Speaker System. It’s got a tiny pouch to carry these bad boys in, so unsuspecting philistines won’t see the enlightenment coming. Once I crank up the Dynamic Bass Boost I can just connect this thing to any MP3 player…provided it has a 3.5 mm jack. Whatever. USB is sooooooo mainstream now. I like the sound through an audio jack better, anyway. It’s warmer…like vinyl. And now that I can carry these with me anywhere, everyone’s going to feel the same way.
